Hi Wendy,
We have you on a few prayer lists at several churches. We want you to know how much we miss you. You have always been so positive and cheerful. It’s hard to imagine your pain and suffering right now. So we ask God’s blessing and hand in your healing. And we ask Him for comfort and peace for you and your family, and we hope to see you really, really soon!

Hey Wendy - I’m sure you don’t remember me, but I worked for you after back in the early 90s during my summer break from college. I was talking to Bill Eastburn, who I know thru Langley Federal Credit Union, and telling him that I just got orders to be the Asst Gymnastics Coach at the Air Force Academy. He asked me where else I had coached at and when I mentioned your name he told me he knew you and that you had suffered a terrible accident. I had a good friend break his neck skiing and they told him when he woke up from his operation, he would be paralyzed from the shoulders down. Well, he defied the doctors and not only did he fully recover, he also regained his flight physical and still flies for the Air Force! I am sending you all my positive energy and happy thoughts - I know you will get better! I also told Kelly Stefanko to write to you - I have known her most of my life and we did gymnastics at Hampton High. She wishes you the best!
November 28th, 2007 at 8:30 pm
Girlfriend,
What the heck?! Despite driving by GI almost weekly on the way to my folk’s house around the corner, I’m just now getting word of your accident from this summer. When I first heard, I thought, “oh no, she was trying to be 19 again showing those young girls in the gym she still had it”….(remember that time you threw your back out trying to do a back handsprings after you hadn’t done one in decade or so)? Lots of wild and crazy things have happened over your life time (is that you finding trouble or trouble finding you?!) and you’ve always found a way not just to get through it, but to make yourself even better as a result. I’ve got every confidence this situation is no different.
I’m embarrassed that it’s taken something catastrophic for me to get back in touch. So many of my best 5th grade and up school year memories involve you and the gym! You’re in my thoughts often, especially now, as I pray you continue to heal quickly! Lots of love,
Your girl “swag”
November 30th, 2007 at 1:03 pm
Wendy!!!
I saw Kelly last night (how totally random is it that she and I both work for the City of Norfolk– right across the street from each other!!) and she told me about your accident!!
What are you tying to do to yourself woman?!?! I echo Kelly’s sentiments about many of my fondest memories of childhood revolve aroud the gym. I, too am horribly embarrassed that it’s taken such an accident to get me back in touch. I think of stopping there every time as I pass the exit on the way to Poquoson.
Kelly and I are planning a trip over to see ya just as soon as we know you are back in the gym. In the meantime, I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Love ya…
still acting my shoe size…

Wendy,
I had heard through Azin Youseffi-Manafi recently that you were in an accident because my daughter who is 7 and a Level 4 at GMS. It sounded serious, but she didnt want to alarm me as I was in tears when she said something about it. As Kelly Stefanko put in a message back in November, some of my fondest memories are at Gymnastics Inc. with Kelly, Carrie Beamer, Karin, Craig, Pam, and Eddie! I know I left the gym my senior year in high school, but I always considered and still tell people to this day that I competed for Gym Inc. I cant believe it would take an accident like this to be back in touch with you and the gym. Just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Also, I would love to stop in some time when I am in the area visiting my family and maybe would should have a little reunion. Please contact me at wrightefamily@comcast.net if there is anything that I can do. I know I am a long distance away, but you were very important in my life and I wish the best for you!
I think I remember when you actually first starting getting into biking. Maybe not the same biking, but free style is what I remember. I remember you coming back from Woodward all involved in BMX free styling. You were always an inspiration and still are! I look forward to hearing about your recovery process!

It was completely warming, exciting, joyful, thankful, and grateful to see you at congress! I felt badly that I did not call, visit, send flowers every day. It is amazing you and Pam have reunited.
Bertina and I will be doing a staff training at Ocean Tumblers on October 10th. We are bringing our children and staying at the “Villa’s at the Boardwalk” for the week.
One: We would love to visit and share a lunch or dinner with you.
Two: If you or any of your staff would like to visit with us and use the facilities, that would be great.
Three: We would be very excited to do a training session with your staff.
Excited to speak with you soon. Ken 267-342-4240

Wendy,
Michelle and I were both taken back by your accident. I hope you are doing well. There are no words to express the positive influence that you, Coach Pam, and Coach Kristi has had in Michelle’s life. We both only have fond memories of Gymnastic, Inc. Because of her gymnastics, she has become a dedicated, driven person who is very balanced.
We send our love to you and hope each and every day you become stronger. Since our knowledge of your accident, you have been in our prayers. With great respect and admiration, Joyce and Michelle
